Office of the Vice Provost for Academic Affairs

Meet the Title III Staff

Dr. Catherine Riordan
Vice Provost
Project Coordinator

Dr. Catherine Riordan is CMU’s Vice Provost for Academic Affairs and Title III
Project Coordinator. She is the grant’s principal investigator. Her
emphasis thus far has been on ensuring that implementation
strategies, budgets, and benchmarks are clearly and appropriately
set and met, as well as working with her colleagues to keep all
academic colleges and units on campus abreast of, and involved with
achieving, grant objectives and performance indicators. Included in
this work are such allied CMU initiatives as academic program
review, assessment, and Higher Learning Commission (i.e. NCA)
accreditation.

She looks very much forward to CMU’s desired Title III outcomes:
“By the end of this five-year project, CMU students will have
24-hour access to records, their progress toward graduation, and
registration. We will reduce requests for duplicative data entry at
the same time we increase the utility of the information we collect.
In addition, this project feeds directly into the university’s focus
on raising academic standards so that we assure each of our
graduates is well prepared for the future.”
