University Science Indicators

University Science Indicators (USI) is an easy to use database that allows you to analyze our university’s research performance overall or by USI research fields. With USI, you can compare CMU research metrics to those of over 300 US institutions, including 8 of our 10 peer institutions. USI provides a summary of publication and citation counts from peer-reviewed journals from 1981-2006 at a variety of analysis levels.

It includes 16,000+ journals, representing internationally influential research publications. Furthermore, it attributes full credit for a paper to CMU if at least one author is affiliated with CMU; papers with multiple CMU authors are only counted once (true count of papers).
