About Interdisciplinary Programs
Interdisciplinary programs at Central Michigan University are centered on the unique ways in which various academic disciplines interact and help us better understand the world around us.
CMU offers more than 30 interdisciplinary undergraduate and graduate programs. Each program integrates innovative and practical coursework that will prepare you to become an interdisciplinary thinker and achiever.
With the analytical and creative skills developed in interdisciplinary programs, you will be prepared to address some of today’s most critical issues. You will become a broad-minded professional with the skills to collaboratively discover ideas and launch inquires into uncharted territories.
Each of CMU’s interdisciplinary programs is carefully designed by an interdisciplinary group of faculty, including some of CMU’s distinguished and award-winning professors. These faculty members formally embrace the creative and innovative interdisciplinary approach to answering questions, solving problems, and addressing contemporary issues from multiple perspectives.
